Substance Abuse Prevention & Rehabilitation

Combating substance abuse through youth outreach, counseling, and rehabilitation programs. We're dedicated to promoting psychological wellbeing and creating a healthier community.

At Health Response for Community Development and Sustainability (HE-RECORDS), we recognize that substance abuse is not just a health issue—it’s a social and economic challenge that deeply affects individuals, families, and communities. Our Substance Abuse Prevention & Rehabilitation program takes a compassionate, community-centered approach to address the root causes, reduce harm, and support recovery.

We focus on prevention, early intervention, treatment, and reintegration, especially among youth, marginalized groups, and underserved communities. Through education, advocacy, and access to care, we strive to break the cycle of addiction and create pathways to healing and stability.

Our Core Activities:

  • Community Awareness & Education:
We deliver targeted campaigns in schools, community centers, and public spaces to raise awareness about the dangers of substance use, promote healthy choices, and reduce stigma.

  • Youth Engagement & Life Skills Training:
HE-RECORDS equips young people with the tools they need to resist peer pressure, build self-esteem, and make informed decisions through mentorship, leadership programs, and peer education.

  • Counseling & Psychosocial Support:
We offer individual and group counseling services for people affected by substance abuse, helping them process trauma, rebuild relationships, and regain control of their lives.

  • Rehabilitation & Recovery Support:
In partnership with healthcare providers and rehabilitation centers, we facilitate access to detox programs, medical care, and long-term recovery services. We also provide aftercare support to prevent relapse and support reintegration.

  • Family & Community Involvement:
We work with families and caregivers to foster supportive environments, strengthen social bonds, and encourage community-based recovery efforts.

  • Advocacy & Policy Engagement:
HE-RECORDS advocates for inclusive public health policies and increased access to rehabilitation services, especially in low-resource settings.
